Gun control -- let's see some action

I predict that Congress will not pass any legislation that has any impact on access to guns in the U.S. of A. There is widespread agreement that we [Americans] as a civilized society should do something to reduce the number of gun deaths in the country.

This week, seven killed and 26 wounded in Chicago. Recently, four killed in St. Louis, five in Santa Monica. And on and on...If Congress wont do anything, we should give up, right?

Wrong, says the Center for American Progress. There are a lot of things that President Obama can do at the executive level without Congress.

OK, President Obama, lets see some action. Yes, talking helps, the bully pulpit and all that. And, if you do something, you will take a lot of flak from the usual suspects. But what the hell, you cant run again -- go for it.
