DON'T SUPPORT IRAN SANCTIONS
Dear Senator Warner,
I have contributed to your campaign in the past and recently received a new request to contribute.
Normally, this would be fine but there is a problem: your sponsorship of the bill to increase sanctions on Iran.
This bill, if passed, would destroy the only improvement in the relations between the U.S. and Iran since 1979. And I understand that the P5+1 agreement is not a final solution.
With Iran, the U.S. and our allies have only three options:
(2) An attack by the U.S. on Iran's facilities -- An attack would delay Iran's nuclear development but it would not end it. Also, an attack would start a war. Iran's terrorist allies would be unleashed to cause as much damage as possible to western countries and interests; Israel would be a prime target. Also, Iran would be able to justify nuclear weapons.
(3) A negotiated resolution -- Any agreement has to have a quid pro quo, sanction relief for nuclear walk-back. The P5+1 agreement is a first step.
Please withdraw your sponsorship and support for the bill to increase sanctions on Iran. |
