I have also been a rifleman and company clerk in the U.S. Army, a farmer, a carpenter, a day laborer, cut roadside brush, shoveled out pig pens and chicken coops, and photographed so many weddings that the thought of doing another makes me physically ill.

Jane and I have been married for forty years. We have four sons (all of whom are chiropractors) and nine grandchildren.
