Log Cabin Chronicles

A Journey

Floating through the midnight air,
I felt peace and tranquillity everywhere.
Green, lush meadows far below
Harps sounding out the river's flow.
Heav'nward I fly towards the light
Reaching for me through the night.
Against my will I am torn apart
From the people close to my heart.
As I weep with sorrow and fear,
A deep voice enters my ear.
"Go back, go back, your time is not near!
Go home - you are not needed here."
Relief and joy sweep over me
As I turn for home and family.
