as an excuse to lick each others fingers
madly, the Kyazangyi Kaukswe sits on the table
loverless,
the rest of the diners
marinating in our juices.

** Htamin lethoke: Mixed fried rice traditionally sticky and eaten with the fingers
** Kyazangyi Kaukswe: Large cellophane noodles in broth.
