Not cool and loving it
MONTREAL | There was a time when being cool was everything. You didn't have to have much of anything else, as long as you had that -- you were in.
Now I realize that I am at the age where I am no longer affected by the cool factor.
I really don't care if something is cool. In fact, I would say that perhaps I am a bit suspicious of it.
I read about restaurants where the food could use improvement but they have a cool factor. What do I care about that? I want good food. Cool doesn't enter into it.
Some want funky places because they are cool. I go to funky restaurants because the food is good and reasonably priced. That's what funky means to me.
